TheMustangSource.com has
begun work on our first project car--a Tungsten 2006 Mustang GT
Convertible.
The car, which we've
nicknamed Project Source Horse, is featured in the Headlines section
of the home page and is linked in the menu on each page of the web
site. It has its own web site and its own section of our
message boards.
Media Coverage
Mustang Times
magazine (the monthly publication of
The Mustang Club of
America) is documenting the build and Modified Mustangs magazine will feature the
car this summer. Mustang Enthusiast and Muscle Car
Illustrated have expressed interest in the project, as have
Primedia publications Muscle Mustangs & Fast Fords and 5.0
Mustang & Super Ford.
We make high
resolution images of the car available to our sponsors for use in
their advertising campaigns.

History of The Mustang Source
I started my web site in 2001 when I was shopping for a Mustang to
give to myself as a college graduation present. I wanted a classic but
couldn't decide which one, so I scoured the Internet for photos and
started a small web page on the university's student web servers so I
could view them from anywhere. As the collection of photos grew, so
did the web site. It eventually outgrew its space on the student
servers, so I bought a domain name--BradBarnett.net. I didn't get a
Mustang-related domain name because the Mustang section of the site
was never meant for public use; I was using the site primarily to get
my resume out to potential employers. I started keeping up with
development of the 2005 Mustang when I saw the first magazine artists'
sketches, and it just blew up from there. Now it's the most popular
Mustang enthusiast site in the world, with its primary focus on owners
and future owners of the 2005 and newer Mustangs. At this point it's
still just a hobby--a really big hobby, but a hobby nonetheless. I
work full-time at a children's hospital.
I ended up not getting a classic
Mustang after all. Instead I bought a 2001 Mustang GT Convertible in
August, 2001. But as the owner of the premier 2005+ Mustang site on
the web, I couldn't go too long without getting my hands on one. So
last month I picked up a Tungsten Grey 2006 Mustang GT Convertible to
use as a project car for the web site, especially since the site is a
hotbed for companies that are producing items for 2005+ Mustangs.
