Flawless 1957 Custom Ford

This beautiful, black, custom, 1957 Ford is anything but ordinary. Jay Gribble took his time to ensure that this build would be flawless and tasteful, and we absolutely love what he did with it.

Beautiful Clean Lines

Completed at the beginning of 2019, this build was a passion project over 60 years in the making. In the early 1960s, Jay Gribble was racing his modified '33 Chevy coupe when a white 1957 Ford driven by THE Eddie Hill pulled up to the line next to him. Gribble went on to lose that race, but it sparked his desire to one day have his own 1957 Ford.

Snake Under the Hood

When Gribble finally got his own 1957 Ford, he decided the first hidden gem would be a new supercharged Shelby GT 500. This bad boy puts out a whopping 540 horsepower stock, but that wasn't enough. With a little bit of elbow grease and fine-tuning, Gribble got the engine to reach nearly 600 horsepower.

Luscious Leather Interior

Moving on to the inside, we love what Gribble did with this immaculate interior. This build features bucket seats, and a custom center console surrounded by an abundance of luscious leather, all stitched by Dale of Dade City, Florida. A Tremec 6-speed transmission and a CON2R steering wheel highlight the classy and tasteful custom work done on Gribble's Ford.

Classy Analog Gauges

We can’t get enough of the clean lines and rich detail inside this Ford. The interior trim was custom fabricated by Jason Norberg of Norberg Design, and envelops the new Dakota Digital analog instrument panel.

Larger Wheels No Problem

Another surprise for us, and a great example of the attention to detail on this build, are the changes to the wheels, tires and wheel wells. In order to fit larger wheels and tires, the team at Dream Car of Naples tubbed the wheel wells and moved them 3/4-inch forward.

Immaculate Custom Grill

This clean looking front end was achieved by custom hand fabricating two separate Ford grills from 1957. Additionally, the front bumper was tucked, and the stock parking lights removed in favor of round driving lights. For us, these modifications are tasteful improvements on an already beautiful car.

Concealed Fuel Filler

The rear bumper on this 1957 Ford features four centered, chromed tailpipes. Above the shiny chrome and tucked behind the license plate is where we find the fuel filler, another hidden gem. From the front to the rear end, this beauty is full of classy and tasteful details that make Jay Gribble's 1957 Ford custom so unique and special.
