1994 Mustang GT Revived With Ford Racing Engine, Saleen Looks
This Saleen tribute is far more than just a visual recreation of the performance machine.
Looks and Power
The concept of tribute cars is nothing new, but oftentimes, people just make a vehicle look like something more special than it is. They don't bother to also upgrade the car's performance, and that's a shame. But that isn't the case with this 1994 Ford Mustang GT up for sale at Garage Kept Motors, which has the power to back up its Saleen visual upgrade.

Looks Real
For starters, this car certainly looks like a real Saleen, thanks to the addition of a full body kit that includes the front and rear bumpers, rear spoiler, and black taillight trim. All of the requisite Saleen graphics have been added as well, which is good enough to fool just about anyone.

Great Lengths
On the inside, this Mustang even has a set of Saleen gauges and door sills, which shows you just how far the seller went to make this car seem like the real thing. Otherwise, its black and tan interior is in solid condition for the year, especially since the car itself has over 100k miles on the clock.

Looking the Part
If one didn't know any better, they might think that this is actually a real Saleen. It'll certainly turn just as many heads, but the previous owner didn't stop there. This generation of Mustang is known for offering less than ideal power, so an upgrade was certainly called for.

Upgraded Powerplant
And the pony car certainly got one of those, in the form of a Ford Racing 347 cubic-inch stroker that has been fitted with an MSD ignition, BBK cold air intake, Edelbrock intake manifold, short headers, Borla exhaust, 30-pound injectors, and a ZEX nitrous oxide system. That combo put down 264 horsepower and 306 pound-feet of torque on the dyno, which is not bad.

To the Ground
The upgraded V8 sends that power to the rear wheels via a four-speed automatic transmission fitted with a shift kit, while a positraction rear end with 3.55 gears helps put it to the ground via Cobra R wheels and Hankook rubber.

Built to Show
The end result of all that work is a proper Saleen tribute/clone that doesn't just talk the talk - it walks the proverbial walk as well. And since it was built mostly for show, it's also in exceptional shape as well. But personally, we know what we'd do if we bought it - drive it like a real Saleen should be driven.
