2016 Petty’s Garage King Edition Mustang Up for Auction

This 2016 Richard Petty is just 1 of 43 coupes and it will be going up for sale in a few days at the GAA auction in North Carolina. If you missed your chance a few years ago to grab one up then this is definitely your chance to get into this supercharged King Edition Mustang producing 727 horsepower. 

Straight from Petty's mouth

Back when the King Edition was being dreamt up Petty remarked that “I’ve always liked the look of the Mustang, and the 2016 model gives us a great base car to work with. “These new King edition Mustangs are pretty much the way I’d build my own. They are great fun to drive and have a signature single exhaust."

What was the break down?

The plan for these King models as far as production back in 2016 was 243 King models, 43 King Premier coupes and 14 King Premier convertibles. “With the new paint on the Premier edition,” he added, “that’s how you know we built it. They look pretty sharp.”

Ready for the road

This King Premier comes with a Ford Racing CAI, 3-way adjustable front and rear sway bars, and a Magnaflow Quad exhaust. On the inside, there are special plaques with a 6-speed Barton short-throw shifter and with a Petty interior package.

How do I get this?

On the exterior of the coupe is, of course, Petty's signature blue motif accented by 20-inch HRE wheels.
