Legendary

The original Ford Mustang still holds up after half a century as one of the most iconic vehicles ever designed. Ford blazed new trails in many avenues with the Mustang. But perhaps the most important part of the pony car's lasting legacy is in its timeless styling. That's why folks are willing to go above and beyond to enhance it with modern performance by way of restomods and pro-touring builds.

Subtle Exterior Mods

The 1967 Mustang build featured in this slideshow is a gorgeous all-black machine. It is created with the mission of preserving the original character of the muscle car while adding a few subtle modern elements. These include shaved and tucked bumpers at both ends, side scoops, rear spoiler, front splitter, and LED lighting.

Under the Hood

Under the skin, however, is a totally different story. Pop the hood and you will find a 5.0-liter Aluminator V8. The engine's performance is enhanced by the presence of ported Cobra Jet heads and Cobra Jet cams. The beast breathes out through a stainless steel exhaust system and Borla mufflers.

Pro-Touring

The power is transferred down to the tires through a manual 6-speed with a hydraulic clutch. Pro-touring upgrades grace the underpinnings as well, to match the newfound power. At the front, a TCI IFS system is at work and mini-tubbed TCI Torque-Arm at the rear. The suspension system also features billet adjustable coilovers, as well as front and rear sway bars.

Interior Upgrades

On the inside, the Mustang has received plenty of modern upgrades as well, making it comfortable for a cruise around town, and equipped for a trip to the race track. Here you will find Corbeau seats, an Alcantara suede-wrapped steering wheel, Dakota Digital gauges. The car also comes with power windows, power locks, and climate control.
