Movie Star

This is now a chance to get your hands on the 1967 Mustang GT500. Affectionately known as "Eleanor", this model was used in Touchstone Pictures' 2000 movie "Gone in 60 Seconds". It's been named "The Dream Car" and is one of the 11 cars used in the movie. It isn't an actor, but this Mustang is undoubtedly a movie star.

The Dream Car

The movie crew named this model "The Dream Car" and it's not hard to understand why. It was used in many of the movie's iconic scenes including the city and river chase scenes. It was also the model used at the shipyard.

Restoration

Cinema Vehicle Services recently completed a rotisserie restoration on this GT500. Since then, it's only covered 90 miles, so it's barely been broken in: that's its new owner's job!

Drivetrain

Under the hood of this iconic car sits a blueprinted HiPo 351 ci V8 powerplant. This engine uses a Wenco driveshaft and Tremec TKO 5-speed manual transmission to get all its power to the road.

Performance Mods

Of course, this GT500 comes with some eye-watering performance mods which ensure it's no slouch. It has aluminum heads and an aluminum radiator with an electric fan. It also uses an MSD ignition system and an Edelbrock Performer intake. In case you need even more speed, there's NOS on tap which adds 120-125 horsepower.

Handling and Brakes

This Mustang isn't just quick in a straight line, Total Control Products suspension ensures it performs well when the road gets twisty too. Bringing this whole package to a brisk stop are Wilwood disc brakes.

Iconic Parts

Of course, this car has all the iconic parts that make "Eleanor" stand out to "Gone in 60 Seconds" fans. A part which probably shines brighter than most, however, is the Hurst shifter with the "Go-Baby-Go" button. The LeCarra wood-rimmed steering wheel and Auto Meter Sport Comp 10k RPM tachometer will also pique people's interest.

Exterior

The Pepper Gray Metallic finish with Black stripes makes this car recognizable from a mile away. The same is true for the stainless side-exit exhaust with MagnaFlow mufflers.
