It’s an exciting time to be a driver

There’s a new dawn in the age of the muscle cars with the Big Three putting out vehicles with horsepower and torque ratings that are setting the bar delightfully high.  The 2020 Shelby GT500 is set to go on sale at dealerships across the country in the coming fall of this year.  While the GT500 hasn’t announced plans for a Super Snake option, the Shelby Mustang has 760 horsepower and 625-foot pounds of torque equipped to rock your world. The Ford manufactured 5.2-liter V8 engine inside the new GT500 will unleash legendary speed on and off the track.  However, before you make plans to race local speedsters for pinks, consider that the 2020 Mustang Shelby GT500 has a base MSRP of $70,300. Adding to the sting of the price is that the 2020 Shelby GT500 will only be available with an automatic transmission.

Strike Fast. Strike Hard. No Mercy.

Strike Fast.  Strike Hard. No Mercy.  Although it might not be as amped as the GT500, don’t think for a second that the Mustang Shelby GT350 doesn’t strike with cobra fast speed.  Equipped with a manual, six-speed transmission, 526 horsepower and 627-foot pounds of torque, the GT350 is fully capable of supplying you with a steady stream of speeding tickets.  The 2020 Ford Mustang Shelby GT350 has an MSRP of $59,140.

Fast as Hell

Dodge doesn’t have a dog in the fightthey have a pair of Hellcats.  The Dodge Charger SRT Hellcat pounces on the scene with a serious 707 horsepower and 650-foot pounds of torque.  That is an insane amount of power for a four-door sedan.  If four doors aren’t your style, the Challenger SRT Hellcat weighs in as a slightly bigger cat.  The Challenger Hellcat roars with a 6.2-liter supercharged Hemi V8 and delivers 717 horsepower and 656-foot pounds of torque.  Cheetahs aren’t the fastest cats anymore.  The Dodge Challenger and Charger SRT Hellcats have an MSRP of $72,590.  The Charger Hellcat will only be available in a wide-body and has been declared as the fastest four-door sedan in the world.

Heavy Chevy

Heavy Chevy.  The Camaro ZL1 is a slick ride.  Speeding on the scene with 650 horsepower and 650-foot pounds of torque, the ZL1 may not be the strongest pony car in the race but its no slouch.  The Camaro can run from 0-60 mph in 3.5 seconds.  Drivers can choose between manual and automatic transmission options. The 6.2-liter V8 Camaro ZL1 has an MSRP of $62,000.

Dark Horse

It may come as a surprise but Cadillac has a contender fighting for notoriety as a four-door sedan powerhouse.  The 2020 Cadillac CT6 has an option for a twin-turbo 4.2-liter Blackwing V8 engine.  The Blackwing upgrade gives the CT6 500 horsepower and 553-foot pounds of torque. The 2020 Cadillac CT6 has an MSRP of $94,895.  Although it may not be the fastest on the list, it’s definitely the most expensive.
