It Doesn't Get Cleaner Than This Restored 1968 Shelby GT500

With only 402 Shelby GT500 convertibles ever made, it's fair to say this is a pretty rare car: especially considering the condition it's in. Now it's up for auction: lucky you!

Outstanding Condition

Right above you'll see a beautiful 1968 Shelby GT500 drop-top in outstanding condition. This state of being is hardly surprising when you consider it's completed just 291 miles since its frame-off restoration.

Rare

This Shelby Number 0066 is one only 402 Shelby GT500 convertibles ever produced. So it's highly unlikely you'll pull up to another one of these at a redlight.

Flawless

The jaw-dropping Red paint scheme this model has been finished in is simply flawless. This is just one of 222 cars produced with this paint/trim combination which pushes the rarity of the car even further.

Interior

Inside, the black decor and bucket seats are in fantastic condition, as are the woodgrain elements and center console. This certainly isn't a bad place to be when racking up a few miles with the top down and wind in your hair.

Modern Touches

This is a 51-year-old car but is fitted with power steering and four-wheel power disc brakes. With that being said there really is no excuse to leave it in your garage for too long.

The Things You Want

With a car of this age and reputation, you'll want all the documentation you can get your hands on. This model comes with its genuine invoice and a copy of its Shelby American build sheet. The glovebox door has also been autographed by Carroll Shelby himself, so there is something to hold over your friend's heads when they show you pictures of their kids.
