Solid Value

RTR Vehicles has been making and selling visual and performance upgrades for the Ford Mustang for some time now, as well as entire, turnkey cars with varying levels of upgrades. For those that like the look of the RTR Mustang but don't want or need a ton of added power, the Series 1 is a nice, relatively affordable way to get a pretty unique-looking car.

Limited Edition

The Series 1 package can be applied to either EcoBoost Premium or GT models, whether they're equipped with MagneRide or not. The added equipment can be installed at a Ford dealer for extra convenience, but RTR will build just 500 examples of the Series 1 for the 2021 model year.

Limited Edition

That limited number will certainly be foremost on owners' minds because the car has serialized numbers everywhere - on the dash, door sills, radiator badge, and certificate of authenticity, to name a few. Of course, it's impossible not to know that this is an RTR Mustang from the outside as well.

RTR Everything

Obvious upgrades include an RTR banner on the windshield, LED running lights in the front grille, a front and rear splitter, new puddle lights, a Gurney flap for the rear spoiler, RTR graphics and badges, as well as Ford Performance wheels with RTR center caps.

Cabin Features

Inside, aside from the many serialized badges and plaques, the Series 1 features an RTR shift knob for a nicer feel, as well as RTR floormats to put your dirty shoes on. In terms of performance, there's nothing done to this model's engine, but the suspension has been addressed a touch.

Handling Upgrades

Aside from an aluminum strut tower brace, MagneRide-equipped Series 1 models get the Ford Performance MagneRide Suspension Kit, while non-MagenRide cars receive the Ford Performance Track Handling Pack for a bit of an upgrade in the handling department.

Solid Value?

The cost for all of these goodies comes out to $6,295 for the parts alone, plus $1,200 for dealer installation, which totals $7,495. That's not a small amount of money, but for all of the stuff you get and the exclusivity of the package itself, it's not terrible, either.
