Ringbrothers 1967 Mustang Restomod Sells for Big Money
"Copperback" was originally built back in 2007, but it still looks amazing today.
Devil's in the Details
Ringbrothers has developed a reputation over the years for building some of the coolest, incredibly detailed restomods on the planet. This particular 1967 Ford Mustang, nicknamed Copperback, is no exception. The car was originally built back in 2007, but was brought back to Ringbrothers for some upgrades four years ago. Now, it has changed hands via Bring a Trailer for a cool $265,000.

Custom Touches
The classic Mustang gets its name from that unique Copper Burnt Orange Metallic paint, which covers a body adorned in carbon fiber hood and trunk panels, ground effects, and billet accents for a thoroughly modern look. The exterior also features shaved drip rails and door handles, a raised dorsal line, reshaped lower side scoops, shortened bumpers, and a flat taillight panel.

Two-Tone Stunner
The interior was updated during the car's second time in the Ringbrothers shop with brand new brown and black leather upholstery. The bucket seats are custom pieces fitted with four-point harnesses, which the two-tone leather covers in addition to the dash, door panels, and steering wheel. There's also a slew of carbon fiber pieces throughout the cabin, including the custom door sills that light up with "Copperback" in red.

Nifty Touches
The dash is filled with gauges from Classic Industries, and there are just 150 miles on the odometer. Other nifty touches include an aluminum shifter, Ford GT toggle switches, a push button start, and a custom sound system consisting of Rockford Fosgate and Kenwood components.

Custom Suspension
As you might imagine, Copperback rides on a completely custom suspension setup consisting of a Chris Alston’s Chassisworks Total Control front system with rear-mounted steering, a triangulated four-link rear, and Ridetech adjustable coilovers. The formerly steel floor panels were replaced with aluminum pieces, and the rear was mini-tubbed to make room for the 11" wide 19" iForged wheels. The staggered setup features 8" wide front wheels along with 255/30 and 305/30 tires at the front and rear, respectively.

Serious Power
Show worthy vehicles like this often pack little more than crate motors under the hood, but that isn't the case here. Instead, you'll find a 427 cubic-inch Roush V8 with a Dart Iron Eagle block, aluminum heads, and electronic fuel injection with individual throttle bodies. Power flows through a Tremec five-speed manual transmission back to a 9" limited slip Currie rear end fitted with 3.55 gears.

Worth the Price?
Copperback is undoubtedly a beautiful, highly detailed, and supremely capable build, which clearly justifies the quarter-million plus selling price. We imagine that the car cost more than that to build in the first place, too, which should make the new owner plenty happy to plunk down that large amount of cash.
