It's hard to think of a much better barn find than this '68 Shelby GT500KR Fastback pictured above. This unrestored beauty can now be yours because it's going up for auction.

Drivetrain

Propelling this Mustang is a very cherry 428 ci Cobra Jet engine. All of this unit's power runs through an old school 4-speed manual transmission.

One thing this Shelby GT500KR Fastback will surely do is turn heads. This is largely due to its beautiful Wimbledon White paint job with Blue racing stripes.

Original

As you'd hope, this car comes with a lot of original parts and matching documents. Included in the sale are the model's original schematic and a preserved copy of the instruction manual. It also comes with some period newspaper clippings so the buyer can note what was going on in the world at the time.

Livable

While '60s muscle cars aren't the easiest things to get on with, this model has been fitted with power steering and power brakes. It also has a tilt-away steering column.
