1969 Mustang Boss 429

The Mustang Boss 429 Fastback pictured above is number 264 of 279 produced with the 820-S engine. This engine is what makes the car so special. Ford needed to homologate its new NASCAR Boss 429 engine, and this model was how they did it. Now you can own it, as this car is up for auction.

Divetrain

Under its hood sits the all-important matching numbers 820-S 429 ci NASCAR engine. It's been paired with a matching number close-ratio 4-speed manual transmission. All of this car's power is sent to a 3.91 Traction-Lok differential before hitting the asphalt.

Restoration

This Boss 429 had a Concours restoration at Kevin's Klassics in Cannon Falls, Minnesota. No expense was spared during the restoration, where the body was stripped down to the bare metal. Since then, this car has only racked up just a few test miles.

Style

It's pretty hard to describe this Mustang as anything but a "looker". Its Candy Apple Red paint job and Black clarion-knit interior scream 60's American muscle. It also has color-keyed mirrors and a functional ram-air hood scoop.

Cream of the Crop

You'll be hard pushed to find a '69 Mustang Boss 429 Fastback in better condition than this. This car took MCA Trailered Concours Gold at the 2019 National Minnesota MCA meet. It also comes with a deluxe Marti Report and the original invoice.
