I've been interested in sequential rear turn signals ever since my dad
told me about his 1968 Mercury Cougar. And since 1968-1970 Shelbys had
sequential rear turn signals, they're a cool way to pay homage to
Mustang's past. My 2001 Mustang GT Convertible had sequentials, so I
was thrilled when the
WebElectric Products box arrived.
Since this is the first modification I've done to this car, let me
start by saying that I am absolutely useless with a wrench. I have
always loved Mustangs, but I am an enthusiast and a Mustang history
buff. I'm not a mechanic.
That said, this install was a breeze. The only reason it's dark in the
"after" video is that I took a break to eat dinner. From start to
finish, the install took less than half an hour.
Unlike the kit on my 2001 model, this kit does not change the speed of
the front turn signal. It was so slow on the '01 that at times I was
concerned that oncoming traffic may not see it. With the WebElectic
kit, the front turn signal flashes at the stock pace, and the rears
attract more attention because they generate more light.
Plus, they look cool!
